SACHINS MOTHERS SPEAK

Young Sachin with his mother & elder brother

sachins mother name is rajani tendulkar she is second wife of ramesh tendulkar ajit nitin savitha and sachin are the children ramesh tendulkar was married rajanis sister i.e sachins badi maa.She is is worlds one of proudfull mother. Here staed about Sachin Tendulker in the SUNDAY SPECIAL on 23-03-2008.

QUES 1: How do you manage to keep away from the limelight, which is usually focused on the family of a celebrity like Sachin?

Ours is a very close-knit, traditional Maharashtrian family and we do not like too much intervention from outsiders. Like any conservative Indian woman of my age, I avoid coming out in public. All of us, specially my sons Ajit and Sachin, are very private people. Sachin is very quiet and shy and likes to keep to himself. He has excelled in cricket and I am extremely happy for him.

QUES 2: Many people would like to know how he was initiated into the game and what factors helped him reach where he is today. Were you also interested in the game?

Sachin’s father was a cricket enthusiast and he played an important role in making Sachin what he is today. I don’t know much about cricket. It was only when I got married to Sachin’s bhau (father) and after my sons started playing with other children in the street that I discovered the game. Sachin took to cricket at a very young age. Chhutpun se hee usko to cricket ka dhun savar rahta tha, subah ko, sham ko, khana-peena sab chhor kar bas khelne jane ka tha. (Whatever the time of day, he was always keen to just go and play cricket).

When he was all of eight, he used to go and play at Shivaji Park. Right after school he would keep the schoolbag, grab the bat and take a bus. His chacha-chachi (uncle and aunt) were staying there. I would ask them to give him something to eat, nashta-mithai but food was the last thing on his mind while he was playing.

Whenever I would scold him and ask him to take studies more seriously he would say, ‘‘you don’t worry, khalipili tension mat le ayee’’. He always looked up to Sunil Gavaskar. All his friends would say that they wanted to be as big as Gavaskar. Sachin would keep quiet and concentrate on playing. The day he was selected in the team, the entire family was so happy. It was like a dream come true for all of us. Those who know Sachin know that he doesn’t play for records, cricket is his life.
When people ask me how I feel about his success, all I say is that I am proud of him. He is a very simple boy and not fussy about anything. For me he is still my little Sachchu.

QUES 3: How do you feel when you see him on the pitch? What memories do you have of the famous incident when Sachin was hit on the face by a Waqar Younis bouncer at Sialkot, during his very first Test series? (He was bleeding profusely, but refused to leave the field and went on to score a half-century.)

I don’t see him play at all. I get very tense and nervous, so I always see the highlights the next day. That day also I did not see him getting hurt, but was very scared when I got to know. However, soon I was assured that he was fine and since he continued playing, I felt so proud of him.

QUES 4: You mentioned that Sachin’s father was his guiding force. Most of us still think of Sachin as a youngster and forget that he is himself a father of two. How is he with his children? He is a very doting father. He doesn’t get much free time, but whatever time he gets, he likes to spend with his family. That is one of the reasons why his social interaction is so limited.

Anjali is a very responsible wife and daughter-in-law, who takes care of us. He may be far from home physically but he is very close to us, he needs to keep talking to his family, specially his children. He likes to go to their school, specially for functions.
I really miss my husband, had he been there he would have been so happy. I am sure Sachchu must be missing him a lot, he loved his bhau and was closest to him.
Today, when I see his kids calling him baba, every time they remember their baba I think of Sachin remembering his bhau.

QUES 5: What message would you like to convey to the mothers of budding players?

Like all mothers I always prayed for what he wanted. I never forced him to be a doctor or engineer because I know he loves cricket and it’s best to let children do what they are happy doing. After all, it’s their happiness that matters the most.

QUES 6: How are your days spent? Don’t you travel with Sachin?

I suffer from joint problems due to old age, so I am not in a position to travel. My time is largely spent in temples and reading scriptures. Even Sachchu is a very religious boy. There is a small Ganpati mandir in Shivaji Park he visits regularly, though not so openly now. He usually goes there well past midnight.

'Now I am just waiting for him to come back. More than me, it’s my little Sarah and Arjun (Sachin’s children) who can’t wait to speak with him. Every time the phone rings, they think it’s their baba’s call, they run to pick it up. I see Sachin’s childhood days in them all over again.

So we know it and also understand that Sachin’s mother had a great vision and pray for her world famous child

SACHIN TENDULKER'S NEW HOUSE

Legand cricketer Sachin Tendulkar and his family on September,2011 moved to their new house in Mumbai's Bandra area.sachin was spotted entering his five-storey mansion . Sources said that he was keen to shift to his new house during the Navratri festival.

Confirming the news Sachin said, "I have moved to new place. We are happy as a family to have moved to this place."

"Lemar apartment, where I used to stay was under sports quota. Many deserving sportsmen needed place to stay, so I decided to leave," he added.

The bungalow, built in Bandra West's Perry Cross Road area, was bought by Sachin for a whopping Rs 39 crore. While it might look like a triple-storey house from outside, the structure is actually spread across five floors as one-and-a-half floors are underground.

The new house Sachin's mansion has been designed keeping the batting maestro's love for cars. The second basement of the house can hold 45-50 cars at a time.

The first basement comprises the kitchen, master surveillance room and servant quarters. These apart the house has three other floors where the master, who is just one short of his 100th international ton, will live along with his wife and kids.

The ground floor has a large drawing room with a separate dining space for the Tendulkars. Since Sachin is a devotee of Lord Ganesha, there is a temple on the ground floor. The floor also houses a special display area where Sachin's innumerable medals and trophies would be kept.

The first floor has been devoted to the kids, with separate rooms for his son Arjun and daughter Sara, while the top floor has been kept for Mr and Mrs Tendulkar.

The house has been made keeping the vastu elements in mind with special emphasis given to the kids' quarters. The plushest part of the house, however, is a swimming pool located on the terrace.

We wishes very happy life of Sachin & his family members in his new house.

It was his change of school to Shardashram Vidya Mandir in Dadar - close to Shivaji Park on his coach's advice which marked a turn around in Sachin's career. He says," I use to bat in four nets at one strech. Whenever, I use to get tired, Achrekar use to keep a one rupee coin on top of the stumps and say, "Anyone who gets him out will take this coin. If no-one gets him, Sachin takes it." Tendulkar till date contributes this technique in being instrumental for enhancing his concentration. He still treasures the 13 coins earned by him during the practice sessions.

Sachin and his best pal Vinod Kambli hold the World Record of 664 runs stand for Shardashram School in inter-school tournament in 1988. Tendulkar's idol is the American Tennis superstar-John McEnore. During his young age, he argued and fought for McEnore with his colony friends who supported Swedish Bjorn Borg. Sachin sported a head-band, sweat-band and a tennis racquet showing his staunch loyalty towards his idol.

Funniest Moment
Once I (Sachin) was batting with Vinod Kambli for a school match. Vinod dropped his bat in the middle of the game and started to fly a kite. It was so funny, I really can't forget that day in whole of my life.

SACHINS FIRST TEST VICTORY AS CAPTAIN

Sachin TENDULKER'S first test victory in his very first test match as Captain when India beat Australia at the Ferozshah Kotla in New Delhi in the first ever Gavaskar-Border trophy test match played from the 10-14th of October 1996. The match will always be remembered for Nayan Mongia's 152 which the wicket keeper batsman scored as an opener and for which he was awarded with the man of the match.

His first test victory came during the 'Navratri' season a period of nine nights during which people celebrate by dancing and playing dandia or garba which is a form of group dance and worshipping Godess Durga. The festival is particularly popular in Calcutta, Maharashtra, Gujarat and Karnataka.

The 10th day is celebrated as Dussera a day which symbolises the victory of good over evil as Lord Ram returned to his Kingdom Ayodhya after his 14 year exile and his victory in the battle with the king of Sri Lanka Ravana. After winning the test match Sachin said "this win is a gift by the team to the cricket fans all over India on the occasion of Navratri."

All cricket+sachin's Fans of the world enjoyed this great moments.

SACHINS FIRST HUNDRED AS CAPTAIN OF INDIA

As Captain of India at the tender age of 23 Sachin scored a hundred (his ninth in ODI's) against Sri Lanka at the Premadasa Stadium in the Singer Trophy on 24th August 1996. Sachin scored an unbeaten 109 but India ended up losing the match tamely by nine wickets as Sanath Jayasuriya blasted a hundred in quick time. It was a festive occasion for the Indians and Sri Lankans as it was Coconut Day a national holiday in Sri Lanka and Raksha Bandhan or Narli Poornima in India where the sisters tie Rakhi on the hands of their brothers and the brothers in turn pledge to protect and stand by the side of their sisters at all times.

SACHINS FIRST TEST HUNDRED

Sachin scored his first test hundred on 14th August 1990 against England at Old Trafford Manchester. He made a match saving 119 not out and he along with Manoj Prabhakar who made 67 not out saved the match for India after they were in dire straits losing six wickets for next to nothing before tea. That match saving effort also earned him the distinction of becoming the second youngest test player at the age of 17 years and 112 days to score a hundred.

His hundred followed a magnificent 50 in the first innings. Although it was bright and sunny in England it was pouring almost all day in India as it was Gokulashtmi (the day when the birth of Lord Krishna is celebrated by all his devotees). Gokulashtmi is normally associated with heavy rains. It was really very
Interesting score fulfill with cricket grammer.

SACHINS FIRST ONE DAY HUNDRED

Sachin Tendulkar scored his first one day international century after playing 78 matches and five years of international cricket. People were beginning to wonder whether he will ever get to the three figure mark but on September 9, 1994 he silenced all his critics with a masterly 110 against Australia at the Premadasa Stadium in Colombo in the Singer Cup.

His hundred helped India to win a match which was a do or die encounter for them as they had lost the previous match to Sri Lanka. Sachin's hundred helped India to a good total batting first and they ended up winning the match by a handsome margin. They also ended up winning the tournament beating Sri Lanka in the final. Sachin Tendulkar is a huge follower of Lord Ganesha (the Elephant God so widely worshipped in India) and that day happened to be Ganesh Chaturthi, may be that might have had something to do with his first one day hundred.

This first hundred is his turning point in cricket life.

SACHIN TENDULKER'S FIRST OPENING BATTING

Sachin Tendulkar first opened his batting in the second match of the four match one day series against New Zealand at Auckland on March 27th 1994. He was open the innings because Navjot Singh Sidhu was injured and no one else in the team was keen to open. It was his 70th one day international. Apart from it being a Sunday, it was also a day when the festival of colours "Holi" is celebrated in India.

India needed 146 to win in 50 overs and Sachin Tendulkar played one of his best innings in One day internationals blasting 82 in 49 balls. When he was eventually dismissed caught and bowled by left arm spinner Matthew Hart he was given a standing ovation by the packed Sunday crowd at Auckland. Not surprisingly he won the man of the match award for that innings. "It was a dream like innings and such innings happen once in a life time." is what Sachin said at the post match presentation.Howver the Indians also celebrated this innigs with ‘Holi”.

TENDULKAR'S SON ARJUN TENDULKER

((India's coach Duncan Fletcher shakes hands with Sachin Tendulkar's son Arjun (right) as Sachin looks on during Indian team's training session ahead of first Test against England at Lord's cricket ground in London.)

Arjun Tendular is taking part in his first nationwide cricket tournament. He is representing the MIG Cricket Club at the U-13 Cadence Trophy competition held in Pune. The competition features clubs from all over the country.

Arjun played his first match on Wednesday when he played against Vengsakar Academy where he got out without opening his account.

His second match was against the Cadence Cricket Academy. MIG cricket club fielded first, with Arjun Tendulkar fielding at the deep square leg position.

The ten year old Jr Tendulkar opened the batting for MIG club at the non-striker s end. He faced his first ball in the second over which he completely missed. He scored his first runs on a very fine stoke played with the use of the bottom hand.

However he soon got run out because of a miscommunication with his partner. MIG cricket club finally lost the 30-over match.
Arjun’s mother, Anjali Tendulkar, was there to watch her son play while Sachin scored his 44th hundred in Bangladesh.

On July 2011 Arjun Tendulker practiced at the Lord's cricket ground along with Indian cricketers ahead of the first of four Tests between India and England.
The 12-year-old was confident as he bowled to middle-order batsman Suresh Raina during a net-practice session in the presence of his father.

SHACHIN TENDULKAR'S WIFE

Anjali Tendulkar is India's favourite Bhabi. She is pleasent looking, ever smiling.
Sachin's wife, Anjali Tendulkar, is a daughter of an industrialist, Ashok Mehta. Both got married on 25 May 1995.She is a doctor by profession,She is a practising pediatrician working at the JJ Hospital in Mumbai .

Both make a brilliant couple, despite of the fact that Sachin's better half is four-year older than him. Well, age never makes a difference, and it should never be a hindrance in a relation bred on love and entwined in love.

It was a love-cum-arrange marriage. Both are blessed by 2 kids -- Sara and Arjun.

Anjali’s speech about their relation,’ I first met him at the Mumbai airport when he returned from his first tour of England in 1990, after scoring his maiden Test ton. In fact, when I first saw him at the airport, I didn’t even know who he was. It was purely by accident!”

Anjali had gone to the airport to meet her mom while Sachin was travelling with the Indian cricket team. It was there that the couple saw each other for the first time whereupon Anjali failed to place him at all on account of her zero knowledge of cricket.

Soon after the couple began dating and Anjali started stocking up on cricket magazines for increasing her GK. Though Sachin never liked to discuss cricket at home she confessed later.
Recalling their courtship days, Anjali Tendulkar narrated an incident wherein Sachin went for movie Roza with her under a disguise wearing a beard and specs. It was on account of Sachin’s rising popularity that they could not move freely in public. However, their love met its final destination in 1995 when they tied the knot after 5 years of courtship period.

She promptly gave up her medical career to provide ample support to Sachin’s flourishing career. With him being busy all the time with his international tours, Anjali needed to be home for the couple’s two kids. As a matter of fact, it is because of their excellent parenting that Arjun Tendulkar their son is speedily improving his cricketing skills!

Shachin tendulkar have very deep faith on God.So God gifted him a very happy personal life also…
